Great news for all food enthusiasts in Kuching, THE CAFE, BBQ CHICKEN recently launched their soft opening in Plaza Merdeka, Kuching on 31.05.2014.
The first impression I received was the warm beautiful interior setup and their friendly and helpful staffs. I like how the place is not too brightly lit which gives me the cozy feel while I enjoy my evening meal.
Although they were understaffed on their first day, I’m sastisfied with their service. The staffs were very helpful and friendly despite having to face the increasing number of patrons coming in. Great job guys 🙂 Thanks for being so patient explaining the menu to us.

BBQ Chicken is Korean’s No. 1 Chicken Restaurant

Being a food lover myself, I love trying all sorts of food but I’m very picky as well. Everyone have their own unique taste buds and preferences especially when it comes to food. To be frank, I seldom blog about food related posts but I do make exceptions if I find they are worthy enough for my picky taste buds.
Had these last night with the bf. These were what we ordered. The signature dish, Jerk BBQ Chicken Rm19.50
“Marinated whole chicken leg with 24 hours marination and cooked over a hot broiler. It is then coated with special BBQ sauce”.
The chicken is so juicy and tender! The succulent meat just won me over and not to mention the sauce! I’m in bbq chicken heaven 🙂 A must try!

Next up is Gangjeong Chicken. I chose the 6 pieces as you are given 3 choices: 6 pieces / half / whole chicken.
I love how the sweet Gangjeong sauce was poured over the chicken, then sprinkled with roasted peanuts. Sinfully delicious! Thinking of it now makes me salivate!
Gangjeong Chicken (6 pieces) Rm16.50 “Olive oil fried chicken mixed with gangjeong sauce. A must try for sweet taste lover”. You can choose from 5 / 10 / 20 pieces.
Paris Chicken (5 pieces) Rm14.50
“Tantalizing crispy wings marinated with special made sauce, tossed with sautéed garlic, leek and sliced chilli”.
Paris Chicken is my favorite out of the 3. There’s something special about these crispy tangy wings. They are sweet, yet spicy and not to mention so juicy! Not oily at all. For someone who doesn’t eat meat often (not a vegetarian / vegan by all means), I must say I’m impressed by it. I might convert to eating these only!

The Cafe, BBQ CHICKEN Restaurant located in LG, Plaza Merdeka is worth checking out for their juicy succulent aromatic chicken. I’m definitely coming back for more, hope they won’t get sick of seeing me too often 😉
