NATURE REPUBLIC ALOE VERA 92% SOOTHING GEL REVIEW AND HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE REAL AND FAKE ONE.

Update: I moved to http://www.skinfrostings.com for a while now. Please visit my new website! Thanks a bunch my skinfrosters!

Hello Skinfrosters,

Welcome back to my blog peeps! I’ll be featuring the bestselling product that I’m sure you’re familiar with, Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel!

It is an awesome product, so awesome that many created fake or counterfeit NATURE REPUBLIC ALOE VERA 92% SOOTHING GEL. I will get into that later on after the review!

I got my Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel from Nature Republic outlet in The Spring, Kuching for Rm32.90 at a huge generous tub of 300ml. This can last me months because a little goes a long way. I’ve used it for months and it’s still quite full.

I used it as my whole body moisturiser, face mask, eye mask, treat superficial burn by the oven or sunburn as an after sun lotion but there are so many different ways you can use it.

For example, shaving gel for a closer shave, hair gel, and many more!

I love that it absorbed quickly without leaving oily residue or greasy. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth after using.

As an eye mask, I apply a thick layer and leave it on for 20 minutes, I prefer to do this in the morning to soothe and reduce puffy eyes. Same goes as a face mask, I apply a thick layer on and leave it on then wash off during that time of the month where I have few inflamed acne and this Aloe Vera gel brings down the redness. There is some scientific evidence that aloe is able to kill bacteria as well as speed wound healing.

I keep it in the fridge so that when I use it, it leaves my skin fresh and cooling especially in hot humid weather in Malaysia.

NATURE REPUBLIC ALOE VERA SOOTHING GEL is made out of 92% ALoe Vera. Aloe vera truly is a miracle plant. Grown in drier climates such as those of Africa and India, this herbal remedy can provide natural relief for a variety of conditions including dry skin and severe acne. The beneficial part of the aloe vera plant can be found in the clear, sappy substance hidden within in its long, thick leaves.

Aloe vera can promote healthier skin. Aloe researchers also report that aloe can hydrate through three epidermal layers of the skin when used topically. Aloe provides the benefit of driving nutrients and other constituents into the deeper layers of the skin, which promotes epidermal health. Aloe vera can be used to:

☆Provide hydration to the skin
☆Promote an attractive, refreshed and healthy appearance
☆Reduce the appearance of damaged skin
☆Cool and soothe the skin after prolonged sun exposure

According to legends, Cleopatra swore on the powers of pure aloe vera gel, honey and milk. She used to bathe in milk and honey and moisturized and protected her skin with the gel of the aloe vera. Three natural ingredients improving the health and skin tone.

Only Nature Republic outlet sells the real one, no 3rd party distributor.

I am well aware that many companies are imitating and selling counterfeit Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel because I myself bought a fake one from this mandarin based website [MY M*NI STO*C*].

They even have a Facebook page close to 10k likes! This company sells beauty products during the recent KUCHING FOOD FESTIVAL 2014 (1st August til 24 August) including Snail White, KISS cream, Pobling.

From what I gathered, they are based in Kuching, Sarawak but sell them throughout the whole Malaysia.

They assured me that the Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel is the real one so I bought one thinking it’s the real deal and I’ve never tried any before so I thought why not give it a try since it’s so highly raved for many years but then when I went to Nature Republic outlet in The Spring last week, I looked closely and smell and try the real Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel, immediately found that they are completely different from the one I bought from [MY M*NI STO*C*]. I asked the Beauty assistants about it and they told me the ones sold online or stores besides NR outlets are not authorized or acknowledged by them. Then I ask how about certain websites, they said those are counterfeit Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel because only the ones in NR outlets are the authentic ones.

I realised I got duped! How can this happened? Well it did. Sigh

If one of their (My Min* Sto*k) product is fake, what do you think of the others? I would honestly think most probably they are not authentic too.

I will not name the company publicly and definitely won’t ever buy from them again or recommend to my family and friends. It’s not worth the money and most importantly not worth the trouble it will cause your skin.

The counterfeit Nature Republic Aloe Vera gel irritated my skin, caused flare up in my eczema! I am going to throw it away after this. Not only does it causes irritation, itch, hives but also waste my money. Gah! I had to go on strong antihistamines to calm my allergies down, I should really sue them for damages and for selling fake product that causes so much inconvenience!

This is so unbelievable!

I do hope no one will experience such terrible thing after I compare the real and fake Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel although it’s harder to know whether it’s real or not when buying online. I can’t guarantee that the ones online are the real deal as I’m sure these companies will assure you that it is. Be careful because even some reputable online store might be selling counterfeit Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel for a much cheaper price than the original one. How distasteful!!

Below are comparison of my Real and counterfeit Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel.

The colors are totally different. The fake one has lighter shade, the real one is much darker green.

image

The fake printing appeared pixalated, meaning you can see the pixels but the real one is much finer. If you put them side by side, these printing flaws can be seen easily.
image

The fake one has a visible sheen that is out of alignment. On the real one, this sheen is nicely aligned with the graphic (picture below).

Can you see it now?

Next is the back. Notice the difference in font. Then the website, the fake has CO.KR but real one is .COM

The fake one can see through while the real one is much opaque.

Below is the plastic cover to separate the product and the cover. The fake one is a little softer than the real sturdy one.
image

The plastic cover are the same. Both have NATURE REPUBLIC embossed on it. Below is how they looked like without the plastic cover.
image

TEXTURE:
They both have the same consistency but;
FAKE: Harder to wash off, absorb slower so it’s a bit sticky, greasy!

REAL: Wash off easily and absorbed really fast and dries down to matte finish.

SCENT:
FAKE: Smells like regular hair gel, the ones in a tub. Very artificial scent.

REAL: The scent is very pleasant, not too strong or light. Just nice. The smell does linger on after it dries down to matte finish.

Ingredients wise are the same as printed on the back of the packaging but I do not know what is really inside the fake one. They may look the same but I personally think the ingredients used to make the fake are no where near or as good as the real one.

I hope the comparison of the real and fake Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel can help you to decide when purchasing. I know it is harder to see how real it is because the seller can choose to give you the pictures of the real one and surely they will say this “Don’t worry, our products are all from Korea. So of course it’s real” I honestly wouldn’t take their words.

I’m really disappointed at this company that sold fake Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel claimed that it’s real authentic one. The fake one caused allergies, irritation and hives on my whole body and I had to take strong antihistamines to calm them. So, be careful when buying things online and I would suggest you get the real product from Nature Republic outlets.

I do hope I covered all bases. If not, please let me know. Thanks for stopping by to read my blog.
