Lately, the hot and dry weather in Malaysia have not been kind to my dry sensitive skin. I’m currently battling with severe heat rash, hives and discoid eczema all at once. It’s terrible! I can hardly sleep at night and the itching were so intense! And my body is all red and raw from all the scratching.

The warm weather triggered the all these allergies and I’ve been trying to treat it since it started a few weeks ago.

My skin is a lot better now all thanks to some natural products I’m currently using, one of them is Wild Honey Buff Dices by MABEL SAVONNIERE.

These cube exfoliators are made of natural ingredients such as:

Buff Dices: Wild Honey
Contents | Demerara Sugar(*), Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera)(*), Handmade Avocado Soap, Wild Honey, Vitamin E.
* Ingredients sourced from sustainable and/or organic farming

The ingredients are all natural without chemicals and preservatives. This is a no nonsense brand cater to all skin types especially problematic skin.

Demerara sugar is a type of unrefined cane sugar that has large, irregular grains and a light brown colour. It makes for a great exfoliant because of its coarse texture (which is great for elbows, knees, ankles, feet and not-so-sensitive parts that need a good scrub). Suitable for those with extremely dry and sensitive skin, the moisture in brown sugar helps to keep skin soft and supple even after exfoliation. We use only USDA certified-organic Demerara sugar sourced from Brazil.

Honey has been used for centuries, Ancient Egyptians and Greeks viewed honey as a healing medicine. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that topical use of honey has a long history. In fact, it is considered one of the oldest known wound dressings. Honey’s healing properties are mentioned in the Bible, Koran, and Torah.

Scientists have discovered that Honey contains exceptionally powerful healing properties. It not only heals damaged skin in extremely severe cases of eczema , eliminate the dry botches, but it also has the ability to regenerate new skin growth. In addition, Honey also has strong antibacterial properties which helps prevents infection when the protective skin barrier is destroyed.

Another super ingredient is coconut oil, Coconut oil’s main fat is lauric acid, a medium chain fatty acid that positively impacts cholesterol levels. It also contains vitamins E and K, and iron, and has both antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

Did you know that coconut oil is one of Miranda Kerr‘s favorite supplement for many years since she was young? She is one of the reason I started taking unrefined virgin coconut oil a year ago because she has such flawless skin and also because she swears by it!

I love these buff dices and I’ve been indulged in them religiously every night for weeks now, I find that they are very gentle although they have gritty bits that exfoliate your skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth afterwards. One cube is more than enough for my entire body, I predict this jar of wild honey buff dices can last me months.

It did not irritate my skin and doesn’t leave you bathroom floor slimey as well.

I noticed after using these wild honey buff dices, my skin’s condition has much improved and less drying thanks to the honey and coconut oil. The products I put on after absorbed better and faster as compared to not using an exfoliator.

If you have problematic skin, don’t be afraid to use exfoliator such as these natural dices because they do more good than harm unless you use them vigorously!

I find it quite hard to find a good body scrub especially when I look for organic or natural ones, these buff dices by Mabel Savonniere are the I’ve tried. Do give it a go if you have sensitive, dry irritated skin like mine although It’s great for all skin type.

Wild Honey Buff Dices are reasonably priced at Rm25 per jar.
