PREMIUM BURGERS AT KOREA’S NO.1 BBQ CHICKEN RESTAURANT IN PLAZA MERDEKA, KUCHING!

We went to The Café, BBQ CHICKEN Restaurant recently to experience their signature burgers that we longed for since their soft opening back in early June this year at Plaza Merdeka Mall.

Did you know that there are two Korea’s No.1 BBQ Chicken Restaurant in Kuching but only one is Premium outlet? The one in Plaza Merdeka is the premium outlet, while the other a normal outlet. Both are owned by separate managements.

What’s the difference between the premium and normal outlets you might ask.

Well, premium outlets have full range menu which includes pizzas, burgers and sandwiches. Non-premium outlets only have limited menu to choose from, so you don’t have much choices here.

Besides the full range of menu, the premium outlet at Plaza Merdeka also offers a wider range of value for money promotions from time to time.

For this year’s Ramadhan, they have some pretty awesome deals to satisfy your BBQ chicken cravings and also to break the fast for the Muslims.

This is the PREMIUM PROMOTION available only at Plaza Merdeka outlet! Even the Ramadhan Feast set meals are slightly different as compared to the normal outlet at River Edge (Kubah Ria).

Promotion start from 28 June to 31 July 2014. There will be free sweet dates as well for you to enjoy!  T&C apply.

Below is the limited set promotion available at River Edge. You can see that they only have 4 sets to choose from besides the normal menu that they have.

I personally find that the Premium outlet have more to offer being that it’s located strategically in a shopping mall (Plaza Merdeka), efficient parking that allows me to find my parking easily by using the new parking system that has red/green light above the parking space. It will turn red when the parking space is being occupied, green meaning there’s parking space available. So you can actually see whether there’s parking space or not from afar as compared to the traditional way. Apparently they are the first mall in Kuching to use such parking system. Makes parking so much easier and most importantly, sheild from the raging hot sun and rain.

The mall’s parking areas are not only sufficient to provide parking up to 800 cars but I also feel safer here because they have security guards patrolling every now and then. If there’s an emergency, you can press the emergency button placed every 500 meters.

Then there’s the convenience of having other retail stores around Korea’s No.1 BBQ Chicken Restaurant. You can still shop after you have your lunch or dinner.

Anyway, let’s get back to the burgers before I ramble on and on!

We tried three different types burgers at the premium BBQ CHICKEN RESTAURANT (Plaza Merdeka outlet).

This is the grilled chicken burger that’s juicy, succulent and oh so tender! It came with pomme frite and fresh garden salad.
Satisfaction: Rm 18.50

As you can see the portion is so large for me to finish it on my own!

The chicken patty is carefully marinated for 12 hours, that is partly why it’s so flavourful!

Next is the lamb burger, made of 100% pure lamb meat without flour or all that nonsense added. This one is a MUST try!
Satisfaction: Rm 23.90

Last but not least the fish burger, made of dory fish coated with crunchy tempura and then creamed with tangy tartar sauce.
Satisfaction: Rm 19.50

All premium burgers came with generous pomme frite, fresh garden salad tossed with high quality olive oil.

Try these burgers out at the premium outlet in Plaza Merdeka to judge for yourself. They really do satisfy my chicky cravings. Be sure to check out the Ramadhan Feast set meals this coming 28 June onwards as well.

Oh and before I forget, shoppers get to enjoy FREE wholeday basement parking everyday (including weekends) with each minimum spending of RM 50 in a single receipt from ANY outlets in the mall. This includes Lovey Dovey Cupcakes (authentic American cupcake specialty shop), Mazazu Crepe (authenthic Japanese crepe), Watsons, Guardian, Gong Cha, Parkson and more, just to name a few.

So convenient is’nt it? All under one roof. Personally I won’t let anything get in my way of convenience and satisfaction when it comes to shopping and food – I’m not the type that would drive all the way for just some discount. I find it so troublesome, I might as well pay a little bit more for a hassle free meal here at Plaza Merdeka. :p

Hmmm nothing beats Lovey Dovey Cupcakes’ Red Velvet as dessert after a delightful meal. Yummilicious!
